THE MISSION
principles that guide the university
In Nazaré Uniluz we cultivate the inner freedom of being whoever each individual truly is, and we are not associated with philosophical or religious organizations. The institution guides its activities and decisions based on the practice and research of 12 universal principles.
PRINCIPLES THAT LEAD TO EXPANDING SELF- KNOWLEDGE AND SELF- AWARENESS
A moment to experience quietness of mind in which attention is focused on the inner life, deepening the perception of the contents of one's own consciousness.
An act of recollection in which one seeks a deeper communion with oneself and the Whole. Silence is the perception of a subtle and permanent context in support of this seeking and does not mean just muteness.
The act of keeping the mind aware and fulfilled with the present moment, wherever one presently is, observing one's relationship with self, others and the surrounding Whole.
The campus invites you to practice these principles through 3 daily meditations and by keeping silence from words and noises from 10pm to 8am the next day.
PRINCIPLES THAT FACILITATE RELATIONS WITH THE GROUP AND THE INSTITUTION:
The program includes moments of interaction with the group while working and studying, and others of quietness and recollection, providing balance, inner order and harmony.
Attitudes and activities that revere the cyclical nature of life, recognizing the beginning, middle and end stages of each cycle to be experienced on campus.
The practice of welcoming, caring for and loving oneself, others, nature and space, recognizing the sacred in these relationships.
A moment of pause for reflection and expression of experiences on campus, improving listening skills and the sharing of perceptions.
The practice of these principles can be expressed in many different ways: loving care for the surroundings and for everyone present on campus; the welcome to guests arriving at the space; the group reunion to introduce and integrate whoever comes; the invitation to meditation, community work and group meals. These are among the many activities that remind us of the richness of learning and living in a group context!
PRINCIPLES THAT PROMOTE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE INDIVIDUAL AND THE WHOLE:
The practice of selfless service in an impersonal and voluntary way having in mind the common good. A kind of love in action that promotes continuous learning and reveals the Soul’s natural gifts to all.
Constant exercise of conscious and careful communication with oneself and others.
Capacity that comes from the maturing of the human Soul in response to its natural need to serve, to care with love and to organize actions and processes involving all concerned. It happens naturally and is always for the good of the whole.
The act of recognizing and responding to social and environmental needs. We are responsible for taking caring of our surroundings and an integral part of nature itself.
When we become receptive to inner guidance, life becomes simple, clear and free from the superfluous.
what we do
NAZARÉ UNILUZ HAS BEEN AWAKENING CONSCIOUSNESS FOR OVER 40 YEARS

SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES
We are a non-profit institution and our mission is to inspire people to broaden awareness about themselves and their interrelationship with the Whole. We invite you to know our projects and partnerships concerning socio-environmental initiatives.

VOLUNTEERING
To serve is to put love into action and voluntarily reveal the natural gift of the Soul for the common good. Find out how our Volunteer Program works here and join our network of volunteers.

COURSE SCHEDULES AND EXPERIENCES
Essentially, we are a University; a living field of learning that is accessible to those who wish to experiment, create and learn from expressing their own essence. Get to know our program of courses and living experiences, both in retreat format and in the virtual environment.

COMMUNITY
Each one who comes to campus to be a resident or to participate in our retreats or programs, is an extension of ourselves, bringing meaningful teachings and exchanges. Stimulating the experience of living in group is our methodology.
