Nazaré Uniluz plays an active social role in society, stimulating socio-educational projects, inspiring individuals, groups and organizations to develop their full potential and awaken awareness of themselves and their interrelationship with the Whole.
Since 1982, we have carried out a profound, subtle, direct and indirect action by supporting initiatives and projects that offer people opportunities for self-knowledge and self-transformation, which certainly reverberate in who they are and what they do.
the challenge of fragmentation
At some point in its trajectory on the planet, humanity began to perceive itself as something separate from the rest of the world. The consequences of this view seem to be linked to the unbalanced way in which humanity relates to life, evidenced in the phenomena of environmental degradation and human global relations.
Inner and outer perceptions can be seen as two sides of the same coin – unsustainability in the external environment mirrors the inner ambience in consciousness, and vice versa. The development of internal competencies such as learning to be true to oneself, to collaborate and to live together seem to be closely related to sustainable social, economic and environmental development in organizations, in society and in our relationship with the planet.

Scholarship Program
Partnership with Impacta Pretas
Experiences in partnership with Impacta Pretas, an initiative to empower black women, generate income, and strengthen Afro-Brazilian culture. This partnership is intended to value the work of black women as professionals in facilitating processes of self-knowledge that contribute to the promotion of integral human education.
The Tomorrow of Peace
On September 21, millions of people around the world were connected by a single intention: Peace. On this date, the International Day of Peace was celebrated. We, in partnership with Virada Zen and Virada Sustentável, led a meditation on "The Tomorrow of Peace".
Nzinga Project - caring for the mental health of black women
In partnership with Impacta Pretas, this project seeks to take care of the mental health of black women so that they can strengthen themselves, walk their personal and professional paths with full power, and have a healthier and more dignified life.
1st Community Center Meeting
A meeting was held at the Prof. Dorali Aparecida Pinheiro School to talk to the community about building a community center in the Quatro Cantos neighborhood. The community center has great potential for developing workshops, offering courses for the community, as well as health services and serving as a space for children to play and for the whole community to socialize.
Journey of Loving Care
Socio-emotional skills with the Nazaré Paulista Department of Education.
We carry out specific projects to meet demands with other organizations, such as agreements with the Nazaré Paulista Municipal Education Department, promoting training meetings with professionals on topics such as the development of socio-emotional skills, neuroplasticity and conscious eating. We brought together teachers and support staff from the municipality's schools, totaling more than 300 people on each training day (in 2022 and 2023).
Community Centers - Nazaré Paulista
The town hall has announced the creation of three community centers in disused schools in rural neighborhoods. The partnership with IPÊ and UNILUZ aims to bring various cultural, ecological and social activities to the population.

Care for Nature - Get to know our projects
We support not only actions in practicing the principle of Care for Nature in the day-to-day living of the campus, educating perceptions and promoting the development of a culture of preservation and good use of natural resources.
Without this daily practicing, our own construction, evolution and preservation would not have been possible over the decades.

From the garden to the table
Ecological toilet
Located in the woods, built with rammed earth and using local clay. The back walls are made of demolition glass to integrate the internal space with nature. It has a natural bio-digester system to treat the waste without harming the environment.
Forest Room
Surrounded by the Atlantic Forest, with a fireplace. It was built in a sustainable way, using bio-construction techniques: rammed earth walls made from the local soil, a structure made from certified wood and a roof made from ecological tiles.
Partnership with IPÊ
Nazaré Uniluz has granted a 14-year loan of land and facilities to support the creation and development of the IPE (Institute of Ecological Research), an important and award-winning Brazilian institution dedicated to ecological research and Conservation Biology.
The partnership continues to this day, carrying out projects to preserve and care for nature in the municipality of Nazaré Paulista-SP, where we are located.
Project: Hive of native bees on our campus
The aim of this project is to recognize and value our biodiversity. We have more than 1500 species of bees in Brazil alone. In partnership with Meliponario Airbnbee, Nazaré Uniluz aims to bring people visiting our campus closer together so that they can learn about stingless bees and know that they can live peacefully alongside them.
Collection point - Por Eles, an animal care NGO
We are a collection point for plastic bottle caps for the Por Eles project. As well as helping the environment, the caps are sold for recycling and the money raised is used for castrations, buying food and other needs of homeless animals. Click to find out more.
Collection point - National Scoth-Brite Sponge Recycling Program
We collect household sponges and send them to Terra Cycle, which turns used sponges into eco-friendly products. Click here to find out more.
